After charting across nine countries during the 2025 holiday season, GINAxC’s Christmas ballad Christmas Without You has now reached another major milestone: the song has been editorially selected and manually placed by Apple Music on New Music Daily Sweden, peaking at #43 — just days before Christmas.
The placement is particularly notable given the timing. Entering editorial charts during the final stretch of December is widely considered one of the most competitive moments of the year, as listeners often gravitate toward long-established holiday classics such as All I Want for Christmas Is You and Last Christmas. For a newly released, independent Christmas song to break through at this stage is far from guaranteed.
Unlike algorithm-only exposure, New Music Daily placements are curated by real editorial teams. In this case, Apple Music Sweden’s curators responded to the international traction Christmas Without You had already generated, with chart activity and discovery across multiple European and Asian markets.
“I’m incredibly grateful that Christmas Without You charted in nine different countries,” GINAxC says.“It happened because listeners connected with what they heard, and that means everything to me.”
The song marks a contrast to earlier releases in GINAxC’s catalogue — from bold, provocative pop tracks like Put Your Mouth to Work (Shut Up) to experimental projects — yet Apple Music’s editorial support shows an openness to her artistic range.
“It means a lot that Apple Music’s editorial team saw how the song was being received internationally and chose to give it a place on an official chart,” she adds.“Especially this close to Christmas, when competition is at its absolute peak.”
Christmas Without You is a deeply personal release, written from a place of loss and reflection following the passing of GINAxC’s grandmother. That emotional core appears to have resonated far beyond borders.
“This song was written straight from my heart,” she says.“Every word I sing is filled with love. I’m deeply thankful that something born out of grief could turn into a feeling that people around the world recognize and connect with.”
The New Music Daily Sweden placement reinforces the growing presence of GINAxC within Apple Music’s ecosystem and highlights how listener engagement across markets can translate into editorial recognition — even in the most crowded season of the year.
As the holiday season draws to a close, Christmas Without You stands as both a personal milestone and a reminder that new voices can still find space alongside the classics. Link: New Music Daily – Spellista – Apple Music
