The year 2026 will start off with GINAxC entering an experimental era, in which six songs will be featured.

After the success of her debut album MY DNA, Swedish-Balkan artist GINAxC now enters a new creative era — one that’s bolder, deeper, and more experimental. Her upcoming EP, will be titled “The Ugly Truth,” and is set for release in the summer of 2026 and will be preceded by two singles, tentatively planned for January and March.
The Ugly Truth explores themes that go beyond the personal — touching on social issues, gender role reversals, and the contradictions of modern society. The EP will feature three distinct sonic styles, with two songs representing each sound.
Fans will recognize echoes of her earlier work: one sound channeling the fierce and provocative spoken word energy of “Put Your Mouth to Work (Shut Up),” another leaning toward the funky vibe of “Pure Intoxication,” and a third evoking the dark, seductive tone of “Femme Fatale.”, but with vibes that would suit Eurovision- and synth-pop lovers.
Despite the experimentation, listeners will still recognize GINAxC’s signature writing style, lyrical sharpness, and emotional delivery.
Two of the songs submitted to different Eurovision national selections will also appear on the EP, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
“This EP is important to me, not only because I get to experiment creatively,” GINAxC says, “but also because it gives me space to highlight certain social themes — sometimes seriously, sometimes with irony or satire. There’s humor and depth, light and shadow, all in one.”
She adds that the songs are open to interpretation: “People can take them as they are, twist them, or reflect their own lives through them — that’s what makes art interesting.”
GINAxC looks forward to performing songs from The Ugly Truth alongside tracks from MY DNA during her live shows next summer, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in her musical journey.
